Opportunity description
The European Commission invites journalists whose work helps to make the world a better place to participate in the Lorenzo Natali prize. The prize will be awarded to outstanding reporting on issues such as poverty, eradication, and the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. Applicants will be divided into two categories based on age, the first will be 21 to 26 years old, and the second will be 27+ years old. All entries must have been published (online or printed), broadcasted, or have appeared in a media outlet. Text based entries must be a maximum of 1500 words, while video and audio entries must be a maximum of 10 minutes.
11 winners from different regions will each receive €5,000 and a trophy, and the grand prize winner will receive an additional trophy and €5,000 in June in Brussels. An additional thematic prize will be awarded for work focused on the elimination of violence against women and girls.
