European Youth Award about Digital Solutions with Social Impact 2018

European Youth Award (EYA) is seeking and rewarding the most creative digital projects such as websites, apps, wearable devices, games, smart things or digital installations, since the digital technologies allow individuals to impact on society like never before.

Therefore EYA is looking for digital projects that have a strong impact on society in one of the 9 EYA categories which include: 

[1] Fostering Health.

[2] Smart Learning.

[3] Connecting Cultures.

[4] Planet Friendly.

[5] Active Citizenship.

[6] Sustainable Economics.

[7] Managing Life.

[8] Open Innovation.

[9] Future Europe.

The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

[1] Content Creativity.

[2] Digital Implementation.

[3] Social entrepreneurial aspects.

The European Youth Award will honor up to 3 winning projects, products or applications per category chosen by the jury as the best in the category but no more than 15 Winners in total. And the winners will be invited to attend the EYA Festival in Graz. During the festival, winners will have the chance to:

[1] Present their innovative projects in front of an expert and high-level audience.

[2] Receive two profound project checks and further development suggestions by international and local students.

[3] Learn from outstanding speakers, experienced entrepreneurs and opinion-leaders.

[4] Exchange and discuss their ideas and visions with young engaged people from all over Europe.

This competition covers: 

[1] Travel costs for the winners to attend the EYA Festival in Graz from November 28 to December 1, 2018.

[2] Accomodation.

Applicants must:

[1] Live in one of the 59 member states of the Council of Europe or the Union for the Mediterranean.

[2] Be legal originators.

[3] Hold intellectual property rights.

[4] Be under the age of 33 years.
