<p>The University of Wisconsin Whitewater in the <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/United-States" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>United States</strong></a> is offering new <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships?bachelor=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>undergraduate&nbsp;</strong></a>students from all around the world the opportunity to apply for the 2020 Freshman Merit Scholarship.&nbsp;</p><h3>Eligibility criteria:</h3><ol><li>Incoming freshmen starting in either Fall or Spring (exchange students, current students, US citizens and permanent residents are not eligible).</li><li>Citizens of countries other than US.</li><li>Have an equivalent of a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.</li><li>Must be admitted by 1st&nbsp;of December for Spring and 15th&nbsp;of July for Fall.</li><li>Not open to fully sponsored students.</li><li>Must have submitted online application.</li><li>Application procedure:&nbsp;qualified applicants will be considered upon receipt of all required application materials.</li><li>Renewable: up to 8 consecutive semesters (4 years). Recipients must maintain active F1 status, maintain 2.5 cumulative GPA at UWW and be involved in at least 3 intercultural programs or student organizations for each semester of eligibility.</li></ol><h3>Value of scholarship:</h3><p>$2000 per year: $1000 in Fall and $1000 in Spring.</p><h3>About the University of Wisconsin Whitewater:</h3><p>University of Wisconsin Whitewater (UWW) offers undergraduate and graduate programs in over 75 areas of study, as well as a residential Intensive English curriculum.
