Opportunity description

Within the framework of the Egyptian-Japanese Education Initiative, the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector (the Central Administration of Scholarships) in Egypt announces the opening for application in the competitive system to obtain scholarships to spend a semester or academic year of the first university-level in Japan for the academic year 2021.

Funding:

The missions bear all program expenses (visa - return tickets - accommodation - living - university fees). Missions do not bear any expenses for accompanying the family or companions of any of the types of delegation.

Note: All financial allocations are decided according to the available funding and may be modified or applied to changes by a decrease or increase according to the conditions and vision of the ministry and what is decided by the Egyptian state and the Ministry of Higher Education as well as the Scholarships Administration and the Executive Committee, and the student has no right to object to these amendments In any case and obtaining this mission is his direct approval of this condition, and he is not entitled to file lawsuits for damage or otherwise.

Conditions for applying:

  • No more than 22 years old on December 3, 2020
  • To be in the second or third year of university (from the date of joining the university) at an Egyptian governmental university (for students of practical colleges, the preparatory year is counted as an academic year)
  • To have a GPA of 3.2 or very good or not less than 80% in previous years (each year separately) and that the statement of grades presented indicating the grade or percentage for each academic year separately, approved and sealed
  • Has an English language level of 5.5 IELTS or 59 in the IBT International Exam, with the exception of Japanese language departments, the student must achieve an N3 level
  • The student should not be a holder of any other nationality with the nationality of the Arab Republic of Egypt
  • There should be a student exchange agreement between the Egyptian university in which the student studies and one of the Japanese universities, and the student is not allowed to apply to any other university
  • This scholarship is available to all majors.
