<p>The MEST <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Trainings-or-Workshops" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Training Program</strong></a> has been launched for ambitious, driven entrepreneurs with a strong desire to build a scalable software company. It&rsquo;s a graduate-level, 1-year entrepreneurial course in Business, Communications and Software Development grounded in hands-on projects. Final recruitment takes place in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Cote d&#39;Ivoire.</p><h3>Requirements:</h3><ol><li>An entrepreneurial spirit and strong desire to start a company.</li><li>Ability to communicate candidly and persuasively.</li><li>Ability to work well in teams.</li><li>Proven academic excellence.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership abilities.</li><li>Ability to meet goals and deadlines.</li><li>Demonstrated personal drive, stamina, and self-motivation.</li><li>Confidence and independent thinking.</li><li>Excellent people skills.</li><li>While it&#39;s not a requirement to have previous coding experience, a strong interest in learning about technology is a must.&nbsp;</li><li>Entrepreneurial or corporate&nbsp;work experience.</li><li>A degree from a top university or Technical College (or equivalent experience).</li></ol><h3>Application timeline:</h3><p><strong>Phase One:</strong></p><ol><li>Application Period: Applications open in the 3rd quarter of each year and close in March the following year</li><li>Aptitude Test: Qualified applicants will be invited to take an online aptitude test.</li><li>Phone screening: Applicants who pass the test will receive an invitation for a telephone interview with a member of the MEST team.</li><li>Interviews: In-person group and individual interviews take place in South Africa in February; and in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Cote d&rsquo;Ivoire in May each year.</li></ol><p><strong>Phase Two:</strong></p><ol><li>Offers: Offers are sent out by the end of May each year.</li><li>Training Begins: The Training Program starts in August in Accra, Ghana each year.</li></ol><h3>Funding:</h3><p>The MEST program is fully funded, including free tuition, room and board, 3 meals per day and a small monthly stipend.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>See more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country">opportunities for travel abroad</a> on For9a</strong></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>See more&nbsp;<a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships">scholarships</a> available on For9a</strong></p>
