The University of Stanford in the US is inviting graduates who want to continue their studies in the university, to apply for its program "Knight-Hennessy Scholar". As a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, you will develop both the depth and range of subject expertise to confront the numerous grand challenges and opportunities of the future. You will be part of a unique community of change agents from a diverse range of backgrounds. This is a community that will support you, motivate you, and holds you accountable for achieving your goals even when the odds of success seem likely against you.
Eligibility:
- Citizens of all countries are eligible to apply for Knight-Hennessy Scholars program.
- Applicant must hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from a college or university of recognized standing.
- The applicant is eligible to apply to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program if he/she is applying to enroll in any full-time graduate degree program at Stanford or if he/she plans on pursuing one of Stanford’s many joint- and dual- graduate degree options.
- Applicant must have graduated in January 2014 through September 2020 to enroll at Stanford in September 2020.
- If the applicant is still in college studying for his/her first/bachelor’s degree, he/she is eligible to apply as long as he/she completes the first/bachelor’s degree before he/she enrolls as a graduate student at Stanford.
- If the applicant graduated with his/her first/bachelor's degree more than four years ago (in 2013 or earlier), then he/she is not eligible for consideration as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar.
- Applicant must be fluent in English — listening, reading, speaking, and writing — to study at Stanford.
The successful applicant will get:
A fully funded scholarship for three years or more including:
- Covering tuition (commensurate with the standard departmental level of enrollment) and associated fees.
- A stipend for living and academic expenses (such as room and board, books, academic supplies, instructional materials, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses).
- A travel stipend intended to cover an economy-class ticket for one annual trip to and from Stanford.
