Rhodes Trust in partnership with the Sa&iuml;d Foundation for Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine offers two scholarships to students who wish to complete their postgraduate studies in the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. The Rhodes Scholarship program is the oldest (established in 1903), and perhaps the most prestigious and international scholarship program in the world. Administered by the Rhodes Trust in Oxford, the program covers more than 100 fully-funded scholarships each year for postgraduate study for young leaders of outstanding intellect and character who are motivated to engage with global challenges, commit to the service of others and show promise of becoming value-driven principled leaders in the future.&nbsp;The selection committee is looking for the following:[1] Academic excellence (e.g. First Class Honors or GPA of minimum 3.7 out of 4 or equivalent)[2] Energy to use talents to the full (as demonstrated by mastery in areas such as sports, music, debate, theatre, and artistic pursuits, particularly where team work is involved)[3] Truth, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship[4] Moral force of character and instincts to lead, and to take an interest in your fellow human beingsApplicants must:[1] Be either Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese or Palestinian[2] Have received at least 5 years of education in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon or the West Bank between the age of 8-22 years[3] Have reached 18 years and not have passed 24 hears on October 1, 2020, which means applicants must have been born after October 1, 1996 and on or before October 1, 2002[4] Have completed (or will have completed by June 30, 2020) an undergraduate degree from a college or a university (normally a Bachelor&rsquo;s) to a sufficiently high standard to be admitted to postgraduate study at the University of Oxford[5] Have a sufficiently high standard of English to meet the English language proficiency requirementsWhat the scholarship covers:The scholarship covers all university fees, as well as the application fee and a personal stipend.
