Benefits
- A lump-sum contribution towards living and training expenses.
- A lump-sum allowance for flight and traveling expenses (the foundation pays a return air ticket).
- An allowance for internal trips.
- An allowance to cover the costs of research materials.
- A German language course of up to four months at the Düsseldorf or Bonn based Goethe-Institut, if necessary.
- In the lead-up and throughout the duration of the grant, the Heinz-Kühn-Foundation will provide support.
Eligibility criteria
- Keen interest in development issues.
- Substantial professional experience under-belt (a completed college education in journalism is desirable).
- 35 years of age, or younger.
- Good commandو or at least a basic knowledge of the German language.
Required Documents:
- Curriculum vitae in tabular form, and a photograph.
- Certificates of vocational training and present occupation.
- German language certificates.
- Letter of motivation in German.
