The U.S Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) is offering Grants for Arab Foundations. It offers funding around 4.000.000$ for Morocco, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Algeria. Each foundation has to provide different solutions that help to serve local goals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Place:
- Only foundations that have an office in the country in which they will carry out their project are eligible to apply.
- The grant will be sent to the office and not to any partner office located outside the country of the project.
- Official Registration: Only foundations officially registered in the country in which it proposes to do its project are eligible to apply.
- Foundational capabilities: The applicant must meet the following criteria:
- The foundation has been officially in existence for at least one year.
- The foundation took over the management of at least one project, funded by an organization (government/ private/ etc.).
- Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS):
- It is a nine-digit number issued by Inc Bradstreet & Dun to identify organizations with a unique number for each organization.
- Each applicant must have a unique identification number.
- The unique identifier can be obtained through the following steps:

2. Choose the country or region in which the institution is located
3. Then fill out and submit the form, (office address, address of study, name of executive officer, standard industrial code)

An active account in the System for Award Management:
- Applicants must maintain an active account within this system in the period in which their applications are in review.
- To have an active account on the system, applicants must renew a minimum registration once a year, in case the accounting period has expired, the foundation is not eligible to submit an application before renewing the registration.
- To create a new account, please follow these steps:

2. Log in and complete the account creation process
3. Click on the "Entity Registrations" then on "Register New Identity".
Required Documents:
- Apply for federal assistance form: The applicant must fill in three forms (SF-24 / SF-24a / SF-24b)
- Project Explanation Form: In this form, the applicant describes the efforts he will exert to achieve the goals and objectives of the grant.
- Explain the budget: Applicants must provide the following elements: (budget summary - explanation of the budget).

Aiming to advance stability and prosperity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) program supports governments and their citizens to achieve shared political, economic and stability objectives. The MEPI program responds to needs and emerging opportunities for citizens and organizations that target two core objectives: Participatory Governance and Economic Opportunity. A cross-cutting theme is a focus on government-citizen relations: empowering partnerships between citizens, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and government institutions to promote shared solutions for the people of MENA.
