<p>The American Political Science Association (APSA) offers <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">grants</a> for projects that support political science and related departments at universities in the Arab World for projects supporting excellence in the study, research, and teaching of political science.</p><p>The program is funded by Carnegie Corporation of New York and aims to support political science research and networking among early-career scholars (<a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ph.D.</a> students and faculty members) across the Arab Middle East and North Africa. Working with APSA staff, selected faculty members will design innovative, tailored projects that meet departmental goals for success.<strong>&nbsp;Examples of specific projects which departments may undertake include:</strong></p><ul><li>Training in research methodology and fieldwork.</li><li>Workshops to support <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">MA</a> students in completing a thesis.</li><li>Seminars to discuss teaching techniques and pedagogy.</li><li>Workshops or grants to support faculty and Ph.D. students advance research towards publication.</li><li>Lectures and resources for professional development and networking.</li></ul><h3><strong>Eligibility Criteria:</strong></h3><ul><li>Proposals from university-affiliated research centers and political science departments in universities in the Arab MENA region are accepted, as well as from social sciences departments and interdisciplinary programs such as programs focusing on public law, international studies, diplomacy, etc.</li><li>The initial application must be submitted by a full-time faculty member with the support from a department chair or dean.</li></ul><h3><strong>Grant Value:</strong></h3><p>APSA will award grants of up to<strong>&nbsp;$10,000</strong> for project activities through 2021.</p><h3><strong>About</strong></h3><p>Founded in 1903, the American Political Science Association (APSA) is the leading professional organization for the study of political science and serves more than 11,000 members in more than 100 countries.
