Newcastle University is offering Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships (VCGS) for outstanding international applicants who apply to commence full-time Master's studies.
Value of Scholarship:
£4,000 tuition fee awards.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships applicants must:
- Be assessed as international for fee purposes.
- Hold an offer for an eligible Master’s degree program at the University’s Newcastle city-center campus for the 2020/21 academic year.
- Already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second class UK honors degree or above.
Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for VCGS awards, except for those listed below. Applicants from the following countries are not eligible to apply for VCGS awards as the University offers specific schemes for these countries: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Uganda, Venezuela, Vietnam.
A scheme for postgraduate Master's applicants from Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda will be launched in February 2020.
Selection Criteria:
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of an application.
