The <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships">Scholarship</a> Department of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung offers financial <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants">grants</a> to highly-qualified postgrafuate students who evidence high levels of social and political engagement. Applications from <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Master">Master</a> and <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/PhD">doctoral</a> students from scientific and technical disciplines are actively encouraged, as well as from graduates of technical colleges.

<ul><li dir="ltr">For Master students, the monthly basic scholarship consists of 850&euro; along with a lump sum of 20&euro;. Additional subsidies for health and nursing insurance of no more than 86&euro; are also available.</li><li dir="ltr">For doctoral students, The monthly basic scholarship consists of 1200&euro;, a transportation lump sum of 100&euro;, and a further lump sum of 20&euro;.</li></ul>

<ul><li dir="ltr">These Scholarships are for MA and doctoral students from <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/Egypt">Egypt</a>, Libya, Lebanon, Tunisia, Yemen, <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/Jordan">Jordan</a>, Morocco and Iraq.</li><li dir="ltr">For graduate students who want to study Master, the following requirements must be met:<ul><li dir="ltr">Enrolment (or at least acceptance) at a public or publically accredited university in <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/Germany">Germany</a>.</li><li dir="ltr">Proof of a completed <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor">Bachelor&rsquo;s</a> degree or finished basic study (Diplom, state examination)</li><li dir="ltr">Outstanding academic performance</li><li dir="ltr">Social engagement in the spirit of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung</li><li dir="ltr">Proficiency in the German language (at least B-2 level). Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung does not fund German language courses.</li><li dir="ltr">The following cases aren&rsquo;t eligible:<ul><li dir="ltr">Finishing a degree already near completion.</li><li dir="ltr">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or basic studies.</li><li dir="ltr">A second course of study.</li><li dir="ltr">A work-based part-time degree programme.</li><li dir="ltr">Studying abroad in your home country or other third countries.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li dir="ltr">For doctoral students, the following requirements must be met:<ul><li dir="ltr">Acceptance at a public or publicly accredited institution of higher learning in Germany or abroad</li><li dir="ltr">Supervision by a professor in Germany</li><li dir="ltr">Outstanding academic performance</li><li dir="ltr">Social engagement in the spirit of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung</li><li dir="ltr">High proficiency in German (proof of instruction required) &ndash; we cannot support German language courses.</li><li dir="ltr">For applicants who have already received a scholarship from other institutions, an RLS scholarship can only provided if the previous scholarship lasted less than two years.
