The University seeks to choose the very best students who will realize Mica Ertegun&rsquo;s Mission and one day become leaders in their chosen fields.</p><h3>Opportunity Disciplines:</h3><ul><li>Classical archaeology.</li><li>English Language and Literature.</li><li>Fine Art.</li><li>History (including History of Art and the History of Architecture).</li><li>Linguistics, Philology, and Phonetics.</li><li>Medieval and Modern Languages (covering most European languages and their literature).</li><li>Music.</li><li>Oriental Studies (including Far Eastern and Middle Eastern Studies.</li><li>Philosophy.</li><li>Theology and Religion.</li><li>Film Aesthetics.</li><li>Women&#39;s Studies.</li></ul><h3>Eligibility Criteria:</h3><ul><li>Candidates must apply to start a new full-time course in one of the funded fields.</li><li>Applicants must meet the admission criteria for entry to their course, including English language requirements.</li><li>This <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>scholarship</strong></a> may not be held in conjunction with any other awards. Awards may only be offered for students starting a new graduate course. Current graduate students are not eligible to apply for funding for a second or third year of their course.</li></ul><h3>Funding:</h3><ul><li>The scholarship covers full tuition fees.</li><li>An annual grant for living costs (around &pound; 15,009).</li><li>Accommodation in Ertegun House.</li></ul><h3>Other Benefits:</h3><ul><li>Opportunities to participate in social occasions, lively lectures, performances, and other activities developed expressly for Scholars in Ertegun House.</li><li>The scholarship is renewed according to the duration of the course based on the researcher&#39;s satisfactory academic progress.</li></ul><h3>Selection Process:</h3><ul><li>Stage 1: The student conducts an interview with the representative of the college via video or phone.</li><li>Stage 2: Applicants are nominated to the selection committee by colleges.</li><li>Stage 3: Successful candidates are selected by the Selection Committee made up of the Head of Oxford&rsquo;s Humanities Division and one representative from each of the eligible faculties, acting in consultation with the Board of Ertegun Overseers.</li></ul><p>Note: Successful candidates will be notified only by email.</p><h3>About</h3><p>As the oldest university in the English-speaking world, Oxford is a unique and historic institution.
