Film Freeway is pleased to announce The Palma Mountain Film Festival (MCMP), which celebrates its eleventh edition in 2022, bu its 2nd Mountain and Nature Documentary Short Film Competition. The aim of this call is to promote and spread short documentaries on mountains (mountaineering, expeditions, climbing, hiking, caving, ethnology...) and nature (biodiversity and landscape).
Benefits
The jury will select a maximum of three films from all those submitted, which will be awarded and screened at the 13th Palma 2022 Mountain Film Festival:
- Balearic Mountain and Climbing Federation Prize for the best MOUNTAIN short documentary, endowed with €500.
- Kenia Outdoor Prize for the best NATURE short documentary, with a mountain material voucher worth €300.
- FotoRuanoPro Prize for the best PHOTOGRAPHY, with a voucher for professional imaging material worth €300.
Eligibility criteria
- Participation is open to teams or individuals of any nationality who are over 18 years of age.
- Only one proposal per person or team may be submitted.
- Films may not exceed 20 minutes in length.
- Advertising material will not be accepted.
- Animated films and experimental pieces may be submitted.
- The date the short film was completed must be after 1 January 2017.
- Proposals may be silent, in Catalan, Spanish or other languages (in this case they must include subtitles in Catalan or Spanish, embedded or in .srt format).
- Short films must be presented in the following formats:
- HD video .mp4, audio aac
- HD video .mov, audio aac
- The organization will reject any material with obscene, violent, sexist, xenophobic, or racist content or that violates any fundamental rights.
