Online Competition in the Field of Design from TCL Award 2021

TCL Award is calling everyone with new design ideas of large flexible displays, 17 -27 inches or 55-77 inches, and without restrictions on TV, household appliances, or commercial equipment. This is your chance to join the industry and be a leader in design with your breakthrough ideas and get the gold award. Therefore, proposals must distinguish the features, flexibility, and rollability of the product by explaining the product design and how to use it.

Eligibility:

You must be:

• Undergraduate students or graduate students or recent graduates (within 3 years after graduation).
• You can be from any country in the world.
• You can be from any major.
• You can participate solo or as a team in the competition. 
• You would need to provide on the application system proof of enrollment or graduation.
• You will be judged according to the following criteria:
  • Novelty
  • Feasibility
  • Market Potential
  • Presentation
• You must write down the descriptions and other texts that are noted on the Presentation Sheet and video and on the application form also.
• You must enter original creations that have not been announced domestically or overseas.
• You can retain the right of public display and you can announce submitted works at other locations.
• There are no restrictions on the number of times you may enter for the first round of screening.
• Works submitted for the first round of screening cannot be added to or revised after submission. However, additions or revisions are allowed before submission for the final round of screening.
• You must not display any information that may identify the applicant.
  
  

Please note:

• "You shall consent to the fact that the prize money shall serve as fair compensation for the transfer of all intellectual property rights (such as rights related to domestic and global copyrights, patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks).  While intellectual property rights for non-winning works will not be transferred to the company!"
• "If a prize-winning entry is considered for commercialization and becomes fixed for commercialization, a memorandum of understanding will be exchanged regarding payment of separate contingency fees!"
• "If a prize winner is a minor, parental consent is required to receive the prize!"
• "You can submit the entry in English or Chinese (simplified, traditional)!"

• Each prize is awarded to one entry by one person (one group).
