The United Nations ,in cooperation with the Community Development And Sustainability Organization (CDS), is offering an online volunteer opportunity: Fundraising strategy towards Community Water Irrigation Project.
Background and Objectives:-
In order to overcome problems of shortage of Tomatoes,Vegetables,Onions for Cheptais,Mt.Elgon ,Bungoma and Kenya people, and women in the community the Community Development And Sustainability Organization seeks to collect grants from grant making foundations internationally.
Locally there is no source of funding for the organization. To be able to provide community water irrigation targeting 100 households based within Cheptais Sub Location as a pilot project, the organization needs your efforts to get grant proposal projects and contacts of grant making foundations.
You will assist in setting up an online fundraising 'GoFundMe'. 2 Grant project Proposals per week with their budget proposal are needed. 2 new contacts of grant making foundations in the UK, US, Europe or Asia or anywhere will be sourced.
Requirements:-
Online fundraising campaign.
Grants project Proposals development.
Writing Projects and situations or contextual analysis.
Experience in fundraising.
English skills.
Ability to write 2 grant project proposals per week with a budget proposal.
Having the internet and skills to do research or call for proposals from Grant making foundations.
Agree to do search for grant making foundation supporting charity NGO in Kenya Projects: Education, Health, Economic empowerment, Water and Hygiene, etc.
Tasks:-
The CDS will provide you with an idea about the project, people it will serve, objectives and expected results.
You draft a project grant proposal and email it to the organization for review and CDS is responsible for its potential grants making foundations, contacts or donors.
You will sometimes do google search, or reading website contents of potential partners and grant projects proposals with related budget per week is required. They are short, small projects, no more than 13-24 pages.Volunteers will not be asked to solicit or look for funds on behalf of the organization.
