The United Nations Volunteers Program is looking for online volunteers to translate system massages from English to french and Spanish.
Main Tasks:
To ease a UNV platform's communication to volunteers and organizations, UNV would like to mobilize online volunteers who will have the responsibility to translate 26 system messages, all gathered in a unique MS Excel sheet for easy edit. Drafted in English, UNV would like to translate the messages in French and Spanish. As it is an internal document, UNV count on Volunteers' confidentiality. This task will help UNV improving its communication with both organizations and volunteers worldwide. The Excel sheet will be shared once the volunteers are selected and they will not have to right to reuse it for any other purpose once the task completed. Also, the successful online volunteers will be fully credited for their efforts. Due to the number of messages to translate, there will be one volunteer in charge of each language.
Background and Objectives:
The messages to translate have been developed by The United Nations Volunteering (UNV) team. Lately, with ongoing permanent changes, communication to stakeholders have to be regularly updated, as part of the United Nations Volunteering Programme's core activities. UNV is looking for some online volunteers able to give some more global visibility to it's work by sharing their expertise in English-French and English-Spanish bilingualism.
Requirements:
UNV is looking for:
- Highly skilled bilingual translator (English, French and Spanish).
- Very discreet and reliable collaborators.
- Collaborators who can submit the requested work in due time.
- Prior professional experience within a UN agency is an asset.
