UNFPA is currently looking for Online Volunteers to develop its next strategic plan and its women@unfpa wants the Strategic Plan to be more feminist. Support the women@unfpa group ( an employee resource group) to write a paper and give advice to the advisory service group (sub-group of the women@unfpa) on how to make the UNFPA strategic plan more feminist and also advice during the SP implementation phase. The tasks may include looking at the different tasks teams' papers and providing inputs on how to mainstream feminism in the different areas. Help with the development of a checklist to help task teams apply a feminist lens. Keep advising the women@unfpa after the SP is approved by the executive board.
Background and Objectives:
UNFPA is currently developing its Strategic Plan (2022-2025) the second of three SPs leading to 2030. women@unfpa (employee resource group) is pushing for a Feminist SP and had written to the SP secretariat to make this claim. However, more technical work needs to be done and the employees are looking to have outside expertise to help develop the concept. The volunteer would contribute to UNFPA SP development from gender and feminist perspective.
