Siemens invites engineering students to participate in the 2nd annual PADS Professional Student Design challenge. This year, entrants can submit any electronics design they feel highlights their PCB design knowledge and engineering skills. You must use PADS Professional Student Edition for your design.

Benefits

  • Awesome tech gear for 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions
    • First Position: Apple Watch Series 5
    • Second Position: Fitbit Versa 2
    • Third Position: CliqueFie Selfie Stick with Tripod.

Eligibility criteria

  • Any student ages 17–25 (undergrad student or graduate student).

  • You can submit as many entries as you like.
  • You will need to supply all of the design files created in PADS Professional Student Edition for your entry. The easiest way to do this is to create a zip file of your entire design directory. This is the directory that contains your *design_name*.prj file as well as a folder named PCB which contains the *design_name*.pcb file.
  • You can supply a screenshot, or perhaps a picture of the physical PCB after fabrication. This image may be used to enhance your design entry, as well as it may be used in social media posts regarding this or future contests.
  • When you have submitted your design, post a brief description of your entered design with your full name and your school’s name to the
Global Student Challenge group in the Siemens Digital Industries Software community with the hashtags #PADSProStudent, #GlobalStudentChallenge.

Judging Criteria:

Entries will be judged by a panel of Siemens experts. The student name and contact information is not visible during the judging process to prevent any bias.
