Partial Funded Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships in Law at La Trobe University 2021

La Trobe University in Australia is offering the Howard Nathan Law School Bursary. The scholarship is offered to all domestic and international students intending to study Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, and Bachelor of Laws single or double degrees, or Bachelor of Criminology single or double degrees at the university. The scholarship is funded by Howard Nathan who serves as Adjunct Professor at the university’s law school since 2018.

Scholarship Amount:

$2,500 Single payment. 

Eligibility:

Future undergraduates, 1st-year undergraduates, 2nd-year undergraduates, 3rd-year undergraduates, Honours, Future postgraduate coursework, Postgraduate coursework, 4th-year undergraduates, 5th-year undergraduates are eligible for this scholarship.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

Be one of the following:

• Australian Citizens.
• Australian Permanent Residents.
• Humanitarian Visa Holders.
• International students.

And must be planning to enroll or be enrolled in the discipline of Law in 2021. The following courses are eligible:

• Juris Doctor.
• Master of Laws.
• Bachelor of Laws single or double degrees.
• Bachelor of Criminology single or double degrees.

Eligible students must have an ATAR of 70 or above for commencing students or WAM of 65 or above for continuing students.

There is no restriction on a recipient of this award's eligibility to apply for and hold other awards.

Selection Criteria:

Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their: personal statement, details of which are outlined within the application form.

Recipient Obligations:

At the end of the year, the recipient will need to undertake a milestone report i.e. 200-300 words, to update Hon. Howard Nathan of their involvement within the bursary, and to highlight what the opportunity has provided them.
