Partial and Full Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships in China 2018

Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST) is an engineering-oriented university with distinctive characteristics which have formed a well-established talent raining system of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree levels. It is now one of the most distinguished universities of Jiangsu Province and of recognized excellence by the Ministry of Education of China. It is also one of the cultivated universities of excellent engineers and has passed the Undergraduate Education Evaluation by the MOEC.

Jiangsu University of Science and Technology is offering international students the opportunity to apply for partially and fully funded scholarships for the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in Chinese as well as in English for 2018. The 4-year bachelor’s specialties include Computer Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Energy and Power Engineering, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Business Administration, English Literature and Applied Chemistry. The 2-year master’s specialties include Information Communication Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Marine Engineering, Heating and Ventilation, Power Engineering, Design and Manufacture of Naval Architecture and Ocean Structure, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics in Foreign Language, Civil Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Special Economic Animal Rearing and Biology. The 3-year PhD specialties include Special Economic Animal Rearing, Material Science and Engineering, and Design and Manufacture of Naval Architecture and Ocean Structure. All degree specialties and disciplines of JUST, delivered in Chinese, are available to overseas applicants. For running a bachelor’s program taught in English, the quota of students needs to be reached; if not, the students of that program should be ready to transfer to another one. Students who fail to register within 10 days after the deadline will be regarded as giving up the admission.

Requirements include:

[1] A foreign passport holder who is healthy and obedient to Chinese law and regulations of JUST

[2] Bachelor’s program applicants must hold a high school diploma and be less than 25 years old; master’s program applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be less than 40 years old; PhD program applicants must hold a master’s degree and be less than 45 years old

[3] Language proficiency of English-taught programs must be TOEFL 550 (IBT 80) or IELTS 5.5, but is not required for native English speakers; Language proficiency of Chinese-taught programs must be a recent HSK level 4 certificate of HSK Junior-C certificate and for those who can’t meet this requirement may apply for Chinese language courses for one year

[4] A statement of graduation or certificate from the current university should be provided by applicants who used to study in other Chinese universities 

Scholarships provide 7,000 CNY plus accommodation for bachelor’s students, 9,000 CNY plus tuition and accommodation for master’s students, and 12,000 CNY plus tuition and accommodation for PhD students.
