Opportunity description
European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics is offering fellowship program for PhD holders from all over the world. Fellowships are of a 12 months duration, spent in one of the ERCIM institutes. The programme offers the opportunity to ERCIM fellows: to work with internationally recognized experts, to improve their knowledge about European research structures and networks, to become familiarized with working conditions in leading European research centres.

Eligibility criteria
- The Fellowships are available for PhD holders from all over the world.
- have obtained a PhD degree during the last 8 years (prior to the application year deadline) or be in the last year of the thesis work with an outstanding academic record. Nevertheless, before starting the grant, a proof of the PhD degree will be requested.
- complete, submit the application form and send via the online system:
- a detailed curriculum vitae
- a list of publications
- two scientific papers in English
- contact details of two referees
Selection Criteria:
- Each application is reviewed by one or more senior scientists in each participating ERCIM institute.
- Fellowships are offered, taking into account the following criteria:
- Scientific expertise of the applicant
- Quality of scientific publications
- Relevance of the fellowship research agenda
- Previous mobility / professional experiences.

About ERCIM:
ERCIM (European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics) is an organization that aims to stimulate collaboration within the European research community and increase cooperation with European industry. ERCIM was founded in 1989 by three research institutes: INRIA in France, GMD in Germany and CWI in the Netherlands. Since 2002, ERCIM has hosted the European branch of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
