<p>University Nottingham is offering <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/PhD" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PhD&nbsp;</a><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">scholarships&nbsp;</a>at the UNNC are composed of 3 years research and a 1 year thesis pending period for full time PhDs. Full time PhDs are expected to submit their thesis within a maximum of four years from initial registration. PhD supervision is undertaken jointly by academics from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) and the University of Nottingham UK (UNUK). On successful completion, students will be awarded the University of Nottingham PhD degree, The University of Nottingham PhD degree will be accredited by the Chinese Ministry of Education.</p><h3>Eligibility:</h3><ul><li>Applicants must have a first class honours <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">undergraduate</a> degree or 65% and above for a <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Master" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Masters</a>&rsquo; degree from a British university, or the equivalent from other institutions.</li><li>Applicants must meet the required English language proficiency for the relevant subject area.&nbsp;</li><li>IELTS 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in all elements) or its equivalent is required for Faculty of Science and Engineering (FoSE) scholarship applicants.</li><li>The candidate should have a strong background on fluid mechanics, applied mathematics and programming such as Fortran, C or C++</li></ul><p><span>Scholarship Benefits:</span></p><ul><li>Tuition fee</li><li>Monthly stipend (RMB4,500)</li><li>Medical insurance with designate providers</li><li>Successful candidates also have the opportunity to carry out paid teaching&nbsp;</li></ul><h3>Scholarship Period:</h3><p>It is composed of 3 years research and a 1 year thesis pending period for full time PhDs.&nbsp;</p><h3>Required Documents:</h3><ol><li>A completed <a href="https://www.nottingham.edu.cn/en/graduateschool/documents/application-form/pgr-application-form-for-2020-new.docx" title="PGR application form for 2020">application form</a> (all fields filled)</li><li>A research proposal</li><li>Degree certificates for undergraduate and postgraduate studies with English translation.</li><li>Official transcripts &nbsp;from undergraduate and postgraduate studies and their English translation.&nbsp;</li><li>Two references must be emailed to <a href="mailto:PGR@nottingham.edu.cn">PGR@nottingham.edu.cn</a> directly by the referees&nbsp;</li><li>English Language test score report (IELTS/PTE academic etc.) if applicable (not required for native English speakers).</li><li>A copy of passport (international applicants).</li><li>An electronic copy of passport-sized photo taken within three months of this application.</li><li>A brief CV.</li><li>A Personal Statement&nbsp;</li><li>A copy of your Masters&rsquo; dissertation, or a published paper or conference paper, or a sample of your writing work.</li><li>Any supporting documents , if applicable, e.g. published papers, conference papers, patents, etc.</li></ol><h3>About University of Nottingham:</h3><p>The University of Nottingham is a public research university in Nottingham, United Kingdom.
