Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition (QRNEC) 2019 to win prizes up to 25,000 JD.

The Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition (QRNEC) provides a platform to increase the interest of Jordanian entrepreneurs, innovators and national institutions in designing a path to achieve a well-developed entrepreneurial eco-system in Jordan. The program strives to advocate entrepreneurial skills as university students and mature entrepreneurs merge their knowledge with their resources along with their competitive drive to create a business plan that is both practical and innovative. This year will focus on an open approach in which the submitted business plans should target challenges in the Jordanian society and provide a technology solutions for those problems. In 2019 we will focus on the ideas of the university students and prestartups. 

The competition is designed to:

1. Create more awareness on potential opportunities in technology startups and recognize innovative and outstanding technology business ideas, plans and startups.
2. Develop entrepreneurial skills for the competition participants and help them in developing their business plans.
3. Foster the entrepreneurial spirit in university technical and business students and graduates, and encourage them to take their projects from the concept level to the implementation level.

Terms and conditions:

1. Pre-Startups: non-registered ventures (or registered for less than a year) with a basic business model or business plan in the ideation phase.
2. *If university students would like to participate in the competition using any of their university’s projects, they have to provide a paper stating that their supervising professor approves the usage of their project in the competition. 
3. If the participants have applied to QRNEC before, they aren’t allowed to apply again for the same idea; they can only apply for a new different idea.
4. If the participants have won in another competition for the same idea, they aren’t allowed to apply to QRNEC.
5. Only groups (not less than 3 team members) will be accepted in QRNEC. Individuals can apply; however, they have to keep in mind that they will not be able to continue participating in the competition unless they team up with other applicants. 
6. At least one of the team members should be Jordanian.
7. Your team should have a tech founder if your project consider as software product; if the idea of your project is not relevant to one of the tech-fields then it will not be accepted.
8. The eligible fields for the competition are (Fintech, Blockchain, CleanTech, IoT, High Tech, AgriTech, Health Care Technology).

AWARDS:

1. First place from pre-startup category will be awarded JD 10,000.
2. Second place from each category will be awarded JD 7,000.
3. Third place from each category will be awarded JD 5000.
