<p>The University of Melbourne presents Humanitarian Access <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Scholarship&nbsp;</strong></a>for talented undergraduate or graduate students, who have applied for asylum in <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/Australia" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Australia</strong></a>. Only four students will be awarded this scholarship.</p><h3>Eligibility:</h3><ul><li><strong>As for Undergraduate Applicants:</strong><ol><li>Applying for or be the holder of an Australian temporary protection (or asylum) visa.</li><li>completing Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.</li><li>Satisfying the course prerequisites and achieving at least the minimum ATAR score for the University of Melbourne course.</li><li>Applying for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course via VTAC for commencement in the year following completion of Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate.</li><li><span>No prior tertiary studies.</span></li></ol></li><li><strong>As for Graduate Applicants:</strong></li></ul><ol><li>Applying for or be the holder of an Australian temporary protection (or asylum) visa.</li><li>Satisfying the course prerequisites and have achieved at least the minimum entry score for the University of Melbourne course.</li><li>Applying for a University of Melbourne <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Master" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Master&nbsp;</strong></a>or <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/PhD" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>PhD&nbsp;</strong></a>degree by coursework.</li></ol><ul><li><strong>Note that:</strong></li></ul><ol><li>Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree by coursework at the University of Melbourne, as an international student. If a student is granted an Australian permanent visa, the scholarship will cease and may be considered for a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP) subject to availability.&nbsp;</li><li>The scholarship can be deferred to the following year if there are compassionate or compelling circumstances that prevent a student from commencing their courses in the year for which the scholarship was offered.</li></ol><h3>Selection Criteria:</h3><p>This scholarship is offered to the students with the highest entry score, where there are more candidates than scholarships available or more than one candidate with a preference for the same degree course.</p><h3>Funding:</h3><ol><li>A living allowance of $5,000 per year (paid in two installments in April and September) for up to the standard full-time duration of the course.</li><li>Full fee remission for the normal full-time duration of a degree course.</li></ol><h3>Required Documents:</h3><ol><li>Evidence of the applicant&#39;s current visa status.</li><li>A brief statement on how the scholarship will benefit the applicant.</li></ol><h3>The University of Melbourne:</h3><p>The University of Melbourne is a public research university located in Parkville, Melbourne.
