Opportunity description

The J. Walter Thompson Company is accepting applications for the Helen Lansdowne Resor (HLR) Scholarship for Creative Women based anywhere in the world. 

Eligibility Requirements (Criteria):

  1. This Scholarship is available for women who study in a creative field.
  2. Be a female student's registered student at an undergraduate, graduate, and/or portfolio school with at least 12 months of school left as of May 20, 2019
  3. Show creative talent and potential in a course of study like Art Direction, Copywriting, Design, Experiential Design, Sculpture, Film, etc.
  4. Maintain satisfactory academic and creative progress as determined by the applicant’s school.

Scholarship benefits:

  • A scholarship up to $10,000 to put towards the winner education.
  • An internship at a Wunderman Thompson office.
  • One-on-one mentorship.
  • First-look placement at Wunderman Thompson after graduation.
  • The American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's) will make up to $10,000 in payments directly to your school.

Required Documents

  • Personal statement (500 words or less).
  • Letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
  • 3-5 creative samples.
