<p>Connect her invites you to participate in the girls&#39; impact on the world film festival, which presented by it. This event is considered a film festival and <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>scholarship</strong></a> program in which high school and undergraduate college students submit 3-6 minute short films that focus on a variety of global women&#39;s issues, including maternal health, microfinance initiatives, child-marriage, sex-trafficking, poverty alleviation, etc. <span>Your films should tell stories about girls and women that raise awareness, and propose solutions, all the while providing the young adult voice an outlet in a compelling medium.</span></p><h3>Eligibility:<strong><br><a href="http://www.connecther.org/gitw/prizes"></a></strong></h3><ul><li>This <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>competition</strong></a><strong>&nbsp;</strong>is available for students enrolled in high school or <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>undergraduate</strong></a> programs. If chosen as a finalist, the participant must provide proof of enrollment at their school/university. (Special circumstances may be considered for youth who are not in school.)&nbsp;</li><li>Filmmakers mustn&#39;t be more than 25 years old by the submission date of January 20, 2020.</li><li>You can enter up to two films as long as they address two separate topics.</li><li>Films must be 3 to 6 minutes long.</li><li>They must focus on a Girls Impact the World <a href="http://www.connecther.org/gitw/prizes">topic</a> and/or propose solutions to one critical challenge within that topic.</li><li>Your film must be an original film that doesn&#39;t contain any copyrighted material.</li><li>Actors may be non-students.</li><li>Powerpoints will not be accepted.</li><li>Entries must be original films that have not yet been submitted to other film festivals.</li><li>The Girls Impact the World Film Festival reserves the right to deny any submission at its discretion.</li></ul><h3>Prizes:</h3><ol><li>Winners will receive a monetary prize and film distribution channels via Connecther.&nbsp;</li><li>An official screening and Red Carpet will take place in Austin, TX on Sunday, April 12, 2020.</li></ol><h3>About Connecther:</h3><p>Connecther is a global communication and crowdfunding platform working to advance women and girls globally.
