Volunteer Online with UN: Campaign for Girls Education in STEM

UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as African Girls Empowerment Network is looking for 10 qualified volunteers to help in it Campaign for Girls Education in STEM.

As part of the effort to help girls continue learning in the face of COVID-19, we are launching a virtual space for girls to engage girls to help girls stay up to date and continue learning. The virtual space will connect girls remotely to meet and engage with female professionals in a discussion. The Volunteers will coordinate the virtual space, create and edit the video and share on social media platforms. 

Volunteer duration and working hours:

11-20 hours per week for overall 6 week. 

Eligibility criteria:

1. The Volunteer must be proficient with graphics designs including the ability to use Canva, designs flyers, infographics, brochures, online video creating, and editing. 
2. Good at using social media platforms and be willing to volunteer for a longer period and be part of our organization 
3. Adept at the UN Sustainable Development Goals and be willing to contribute to achieving it 
4. Good at research and attention to details 
5. Ability to communicate in English and French. 

Volunteer task:

• We are in need of passionate professional who are experience in 1) video editing, 2) graphics designs and 3) online video presentation who are willing to volunteer for longer time to join our campaign to advance gender equality in girls' STEM education. 
• The volunteers will work with our social media team develop contents (VIDEOs, infographics, flyers, and documentaries and share across all our media platforms to promote STEM and encourage girls to develop interest and be at the forefront of STEM education.
