UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as UN-Habitat Regional Office of Arab States (ROAS) is looking for one qualified volunteer to create and develop a layout/ design for ROAS' annual overview.
ROAS' overview is intended to give shareholders and other interested people information about UN-Habitat's activities, areas of work and future work in the Arab Region. This overview will enhance UN-Habitat's visibility and outreach, particularly in the Arab Region, as well as raise awareness on its mandate as the UN-Agency focused on implementing SDG11.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
11-20 hours per week for 4 weeks.
Eligibility criteria:
- Detail-oriented.
- Previous work in graphic designing.
- Regular access to the internet.
- Being able to maintain a close and timely communication with UN-Habitat, ROAS.
- Ability to communicate in Arabic and English.
Volunteer task:
- The overview/ infographic brochure should give an illustrated brief on UN-Habitat's work in the Arab Region (2020), provide relevant urban figures and facts, as well as highlight key results and achievements.
- The brief will be a combination of text, images and info-graphics and should be about 16-20 pages max.
- You will be responsible for creating the layout, and developing the needed infographics to visualize numbers (around 5-8) in both English and Arabic.
- You will be responsible for entering the content into the layout in both English and Arabic.
- Also, you have to be able to communicate through e-mails and Skype calls.
