Volunteer Online with UN: Design of Arabic Content for the International Volunteer Day 2020

UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as Regional Office for Arab States is looking for 1 creative and motivated online volunteer to support our communication team creating Arabic design content for use during the celebration of the International Volunteer Day.

The UN has declared the 5th December as the International Volunteer Day (IVD) to encourage governments to support volunteer efforts and recognize volunteer contributions to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local, national and international levels. The UNV coordinates a campaign to promote IVD every year, building on the impact volunteers have on communities, nationally and globally, for peace and development. In 2020, the UNV will launch its biggest celebration to date, bringing together UN entities, NGOs and governments from all over the world to cherish the volunteer efforts. 

Volunteer duration and working hours:

1-5 hours per week for 4 weeks.

Eligibility criteria:

• Candidate should be a professional graphic designer with previous experience in designing images, document layouts, 
• have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, 
• good verbal and written communication skills. 
• A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset. 
• Ability to communicate in Arabic and English.

Volunteer task:

1. The volunteer will be requested to work alongside the communication team to create Arabic content designs for social media cards which are approximately 12.
2. The design and its layout should follow the UNV design guidelines, which will be shared with the volunteers in advance.
