UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as Youth Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development is looking for 10 qualified online volunteers to develop viable project proposals for the organization. The proposals will then be submitted by our organization to potential funding agencies. The goal is to raise funds for our activities.
The mobilization of financial resources is key to sustaining the activities of grassroots organizations such as the Youth Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development (YELD) in her service delivery to Young Entrepreneurs. One of such main sources of funding remains the international donor community. The volunteers will contribute in raising the requisite funds for the organization to carry out her program and projects in realizing the entrepreneurial success of under-resourced startups under our mentorship program.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
11-20 hours per week for 24 weeks.
Eligibility criteria:
- Fundraising experts, great events’ organizers, and grant proposal writing experts, with a strong civil society and business background especially in sustainable economic development and youth advocacy are eligible.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in ICT/digital communication would be a plus.
- The volunteers need to have access to the internet, e-mail, and social media contact to facilitate exchanges and communication.
- English is the sole language of communication.
Volunteer task:
- The volunteers will need basic email services as the main means for our communication. Progress work will be reviewed weekly as shall be submitted by the volunteers, preferably after normal working hours and during weekends.
- We shall provide the volunteers with details of every potential funding agency and all relevant information and materials about YELD. This is to facilitate the task of the volunteers in the accomplishment of the assignment. However, the volunteers are prohibited from contacting potential funding agencies directly or their personal contacts on behalf of our organization.
