UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as IPC-IG is looking for two volunteers to provide support the production of knowledge products related to social protection.
The IPC-IG is a joint project of the United Nations Development Programme and the Brazilian Government to facilitate South-South Cooperation on key development issues. The IPC-IG’s mandate is to promote the production and dissemination of studies and policy recommendations, the exchange of best practices in development initiatives and the expansion of South-South cooperation. Objective: to support research activities and the analysis of South Asian countries' social protection system.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
20+ hours per week for 8 weeks.
Eligibility criteria:
- Fluency in English.
- Independent internet and laptop access.
- Experience in research - highly desirable.
- Knowledge of social protection – highly desirable.
- Knowledge of health policies – highly desirable.
- Previous experience in translation - considered a strong asset.
- Experience in data analysis - highly desirable.
- Candidates who hold a master degree will be given preference.
Volunteer task:
- Production of knowledge products related to social protection more specifically:
- support the elaboration of the products demanded by the UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia, related to Social Protection responses to the COVID-19 crisis;
- support an analysis of Sri Lanka’s fiscal space looking forward to implement universal child grants;
- support other research related activities such as:
- data collection;
- bibliography search;
- literature review;
- quantitative analysis;
- qualitative analysis;
- report writting;
- organizing references.
- The volunteer may also work on other research activities as requested.
