UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as iuventum seeks support for its organization’s fundraising campaign for education centers. The overall objective is to help us ensure our organization’s finances are sustainable and necessary funds are at our disposal to support our projects. To this end, we are looking for 2 experienced volunteers who will become part of our fundraising team as online volunteers.
We care about global education and the world. Our main focus is on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Currently many activites take place online. However, human interaction takes place in person, onsite. We intend to have our own facilities in key locations to provide global education onsite. The vision of iuventum is to provide global education across generations. We want to establish 3 education centers. Your contribution (supporting our fundraising team) will be used by us to develop our fundraising strategies and to contact potential donors / donor organizations (candidates are NOT requested to contact potential donors / donor organizations), and thus to provide ESD, advancing Quality Education (SDG4).
Volunteer duration and working hours:
1-5 hours per week for 26 weeks.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates should have:
- previous experience in prospect, development, or market research, preferably in non-profit sector,
- superior analytical skills,
- an understanding of individual donors,
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate in English.
Volunteer task:
- Help iuventum with outreach and other fundraising related tasks by developing fundraising strategies, sharing innovative fundraising ideas, researching potential donor organizations and funding opportunities, helping draft letters and correspondence, writing project proposal, providing advice on how to approach donors.
- Candidates are NOT requested to contact potential donors / donor organizations. Guidance will be provided by e-mail whenever necessary.
