The European Youth Portal is looking for enthusiastic and initiative individuals to <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Volunteer-Work" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">volunteer</a>&nbsp;at the Patirciu Slenis in Lithuania from 1 September 2019 to 31 July 2020. Patirciu Slenis was set up as an alternative to state-funded mainstream education. It is based on the philosophy that success doesn&rsquo;t necessarily just include exams and that schools don&rsquo;t prepare children and young people for life for rejection, for challenges or self-worth. The center was founded with the values that all participants -children, parents, teachers, and community - can celebrate and nurture their creativity, curiosity, learning, and growth. It is very important to mention Patirciu Slenis is a community-based, non-profit organization. It is a special learning home for all, created by parents and teachers and children with their own hands and hearts. This initiative is part of the European Union, creating opportunities for young people to volunteer or work on projects in their country or abroad that benefit communities and people throughout Europe.<h3>Requirements:</h3>Volunteers will be mostly working with young kids so they must have the ability to work with them and connect with them on an academic and personal level.
