<p>The Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) at the University of California offers a unique learning opportunity for mid-career practitioners and decision-makers to broaden their knowledge and perspectives on environmental and natural resource science, policy, management, and leadership.</p><h3>Requirements:</h3><p>The Beahrs ELP seeks participants who:</p><ol><li>Are proficient in English to allow full participation in course discussions</li><li>Have a resume that demonstrates strong professional experience and leadership potential</li><li>Have an affiliation with an institution concerned with environmental management/sustainable development.</li></ol><h3>Benefits:</h3><ol><li>UC Berkeley certificate in Sustainable Environmental Management.</li><li>Enhanced capacity to develop and apply solutions that balance environmental, economic, and social equity objectives.</li><li>Strengthened skills for communicating ideas, managing conflict, facilitating multi-stakeholder processes, and leading social change.</li><li>Lifetime membership in the global Berkeley ELP Alumni Network, eligibility for small grants and a continuing learning relationship with UC Berkeley.</li></ol><h3>Program Cost and Scholarships:</h3><ol><li>The course fee is <strong>US$8,000</strong>. Participants are also responsible for their own travel arrangements and for covering approximately US$400 in additional meals and incidentals.</li><li>Please also budget for a visa application fee (about $140), airport transportation ($40 average each way), and travel insurance if desired.</li><li>The $8000 fee covers the costs of instruction, housing, most meals, course materials, field trips, certificate, and health insurance if needed</li><li><strong>There are limited partial&nbsp;</strong><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>scholarships</strong></a><strong>&nbsp;available for a small number of candidates.
