Workshop in Spain for Youth about Wilderness from Salto Youth (Unfunded) 2020

Salto Youth is offering a workshop to Youth workers. They offer an experiential approach to learning about Wilderness Therapy through a backpacking expedition in the mountains of Barcelona and Girona. The participants will also get to know about Adventure Therapy, Outdoor Education, Experiential learning.

This training aims to provide an opportunity to participants to learn and experience how wilderness therapy works from an experiential approach. Through backpacking and living in nature you will explore the key elements of wilderness therapy and how can they apply them in different settings or populations. The group will explore the benefits, theoretical and practical foundations of facilitating therapeutic experiences in nature. Experientia facilitates this training for the 6th time, aiming to share knowledge and experience from different points of view.

2. Key components of Wilderness Therapy
3. Theoretical foundations of Wilderness Therapy
4. Soft and hard skills 
5. Facilitation skills. Role of mentor / facilitator 

Funding:

Participation fee

• Early bird price: 600 € (495€ + taxes) until February 15th
• Price: 700 € (580€ + taxes)

Included:

• Basic camping material Transport to the field from the meeting point.
• Food and accommodation. 

Not included:

• Transportation to Barcelona/Girona.
• International insurance (can be hired if requested).
• Personal material (could be rented if requested).
• This is not an Erasmus + funded program.
• Every participant has to cover attendance fee and travel expenses.
