AYFN Japan Culture Camp 2026 in Japan with Funded Scholarships for Youth Worldwide

The ASEAN Youth Friendship Network (AYFN) has opened applications for the Autumn Japan Culture Camp 2026, an international cultural exchange program taking place in Japan. The program aims to introduce young people to Japanese culture, promote intercultural understanding, and foster international friendships among participants from around the world.

Over six days, participants will visit the cities of Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara, enjoying an immersive cultural experience that includes exploring historical and cultural landmarks, learning about Japanese traditions and daily life, and engaging in cultural exchange activities with fellow youth from diverse countries and backgrounds.

Program Details

• International cultural exchange program in Japan.
• Open to participants from all countries.
• Scheduled to take place from 15–20 November 2026.
• Application deadline: 15 July 2026.
• Activities will be held in Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara.
• Scholarships and financial support are available for selected participants, with coverage varying depending on the scholarship category awarded.

Gold Scholarship

• Flight ticket support of up to USD 750.
• Full program fee coverage.
• Accommodation throughout the program.
• Selected meals included during the program.
• Cultural activities and guided tours.
• Local transportation in Japan.
• Certificate of participation.
• Administrative and coordination fees within Japan.

Silver Scholarship

• Partial travel support.
• Coverage of a significant portion of the program costs and participant services.

• Open to applicants of all nationalities.
• Applicants must be between 17 and 40 years old.
• Strong interest in culture, travel, and international cultural exchange.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and initiative.
• Commitment to actively participate in all program activities.

• Motivation Letter.
• A short essay on the importance of travel for young people.
• Proof of completion of any application requirements specified by the organizers.
