FECEA International Film Festival for Student Filmmakers in Brazil

Film Free Way invites students and filmmakers from all over the world to participate in the FECEA International Festival, which aims to publish and honor audiovisual works done in the school environment.

• Primary School (1st to 5th grade).
• Middle School (6th to 9th grade).
• High School.
• Adult Literacy Programs.
• College / Film Schools.

• Best Film.
• Best Director.
• Best Screenplay.
• Best Actor.
• Best Actress.
• Best Supporting Actor.
• Best Supporting Actress.
• Best Production.
• Best Cinematography.
• Best Production Design.
• Best Sound Design and Mixing.
• Best Original Soundtrack.
• Best Editing.
• Best Animation.
• Best Documentary (Eduardo Coutinho Special Award).
• Sirmar Antunes Special Prize to Black Protagonism.
• Marielle Franco Special Prize to Women's Protagonism.
• LGBTQIA+ Representativity Special Prize.
• Ecological Thematic Special Prize.
• Best Film by Audience's Choice.
• Special Prize for Best Vertical Film.
• Special Prize for Best Quarantine Film (for shorts made in social isolation, during the pandemic period, that do not disrespect the WHO guidelines).

• Fictional and documentary short films are accepted in the categories Primary School (1st to 5th grade), Middle School (6th to 9th grade), High School, Youth and Adult Education, Universities and Film Schools (submit accordingly age group), from around the world.
• Entries will be accepted of productions completed by January 1, 2019.
• There is no minimum length for the short films, and the maximum time should not exceed 20 minutes, including credits.
• Foreign films should provide subtitles in PORTUGUESE, SPANISH, or ENGLISH, EVEN IF the film is spoken in English or Spanish.
• If the film is selected and does not have subtitles in Portuguese, the person in charge should send a version of the film WITHOUT SUBTITLES and a SEPARATED subtitles file in SPANISH or ENGLISH within 7 days after the notice, under penalty of disqualification.
• All the winners of prizes and honorable mentions win a trophy.
• All films submitted may be screened during the festival and will become part of the FECEA collection for future free exhibitions. FECEA does not pay fees and will not request a new authorization for the filmmakers. When submitting the movie, keep in mind that these terms have been accepted.
