Film Contest with Valuable Awards from Paris International Animation Film Festival

Paris International Animation Film Festival (PIAFF) is now available for creative filmmakers all over the world who want to participate with their films. Without an imposed topic and open to all techniques, PIAFF provides an opportunity to young creators, pros and amateurs, to get known by the audience.

About the Festival:-

• The Festival of Animated Film of Paris proposes you to (re)discover the diversity and abundance of national and international independent animated creation in short format.
• The Festival introduces you to a plural exploration of animated cinema throughout screenings and meetings.
• Through the competition, the Festival is awarding the best of contemporary animated creation.
• As the Festival brings the enthusiasts and the uninitiated together, it favours a social and cultural blend, constituting a real network of collaboration and artistic promotion.

• Pro Selection:
• Direction Award, Interpretation Award, Screenplay Award, Sound Award.
• Selection Command:
• Best Music video Award, Best Command Film Award.
• Student Selection:
• Direction Award, Originality Award, Sound Award.
• World Films Selection:
• Grand Prix.
• Audience Award:
• Pro Selection, Student Selection, Coups de Cœur Selection, Workshop Films Selection.

• All the films must be submitted with French or English subtitles. French is preferred.
• If the film is selected it must be sent for the screening with french subtitles. It's a mandatory condition.
• You can inform the festival committee if it's difficult for you to do a french translation, it can help. Without French subtitles the film will be withdrawn from the competition.
• The length must be 59 minutes maximum.
• A short film can be directed by one or several persons.
• Techniques used: traditional, drawing on paper, computer assisted, computer generated, paper cut, puppets, painting…
• All the genres are eligible: humour, adventure, musical, fantastic, experimental etc, but only those containing discriminating, insulting, racist, xenophobe are excluded.
• Each candidate declares to be effectively author or copyright holder on this artwork or artworks registered and as such be the holder of all the literary property rights, dramatic and musical.
• The film must have been finished after 1st july 2020.
