Scholarship Overview

The Commonwealth Scholarship is a prestigious award aimed at assisting talented individuals from Commonwealth countries to pursue higher education in the UK without financial burden. It is funded by the UK government and managed by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK.

The program aims to:

 Fields of Study

There is no fixed list of subjects. However, applications must align with one of CSC’s six development themes:

Application Timeline

  • Applications typically open between September and October each year

  • Deadlines vary by scholarship type and nominating country

  • Applications are submitted via the CSC online application system (EAS)

Eligibility criteria

  • Cannot afford UK study without the scholarship
  • Must be ready to start studies in September 2026
