Scholarship Overview
The Transilvania Academica Scholarship (TAS) is a prestigious funding opportunity aimed at attracting high-performing international students to pursue a Master’s degree at one of Romania’s most dynamic public universities: Transilvania University of Brașov. The scholarship offers complete financial support to study in Romania and engage in a culturally rich academic environment.
Available Fields of Study
The scholarship is available for all fields offered by the university, providing students the opportunity to access high-quality education across various disciplines.
Objectives
Attract international students to study at the university.
Build a community of “Ambassadors” who promote the university abroad.
Required Documents
You must upload the following in PDF format:
Curriculum Vitae (CV) showing outstanding achievements
Motivation letter (1 page maximum)
3 Letters of Recommendation
Bachelor’s diploma (or provisional certificate if final diploma is not yet available)
Incomplete applications will be rejected and documents cannot be added after submission.
Application Timeline (2026 Cycle):
Registration period (online application): 23 Feb – 10 Apr 2026
Evaluation of files: 13 Apr – 08 May 2026
Approval of selected and reserve lists: 11 May – 25 May 2026
Announcement of results (by email): 27 May 2026
Important Notes
The scholarship covers only the duration of the Master’s program for which you are accepted.
If the program is in Romanian, the scholarship also covers the Romanian language preparatory year if required
Benefits
- The TAS scholarship fully covers the following:
Tuition fees, including registration and graduation fees.
Free accommodation in university dormitories (including holidays).
Monthly allowance of 800 lei (≈ 170 USD), including holiday periods.
Travel and visa costs must be paid by the candidate.
Eligibility criteria
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree and apply for a Master’s programme at Transilvania University.
- Candidates must submit their application and documents in English.
- International students non-EU/EEA are eligible.
