The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a fully funded international research internship program that offers outstanding undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct advanced academic research at prestigious global universities for 12 weeks. The program provides a professional research experience under the supervision of academics and experts in fields such as engineering, technology, sciences, and social sciences, while covering travel expenses, accommodation, health insurance, and living costs. The program aims to develop students’ research and practical skills and enhance their academic and professional opportunities through innovative research projects within an advanced educational and research environment.

Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must be undergraduate students or enrolled in a combined bachelor’s/master’s program.
- Must be enrolled full-time at an eligible university in one of the participating countries.
- Applicants should have completed at least two years of university studies in their academic field.
- Must have a strong academic record that meets the program requirements.
- Applicants should have between one and three semesters remaining after the internship ends.
- Proficiency in English or French is required depending on the research project.
- Must be able to commit to a 12-week in-person internship in Canada.
- Applicants must not have previously participated in the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship program.
