Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens.
- Have no criminal record.
- Comply with Chinese laws and university regulations.
- Be in good physical and mental health.
- Have a good academic and conduct record.
- Be interested in the Chinese language, Chinese language education, or related fields.
- Be between 16 and 35 years old as of September 1, 2026.
- The maximum age may be extended to 45 years for currently employed Chinese language teachers.
- Submit valid HSK and HSKK results according to the requirements of the selected track.
- Not have received a similar scholarship within the previous three years, as the university indicates that one-semester and one-academic-year programs generally do not accept such applicants.
