Funded Opportunity for Artists to Participate in the INAF 2027 Festival in Norway

ASSITEJ Norway is accepting applications for the 19th edition of the International Norwegian ASSITEJ Festival – INAF 2027, which will take place in Oslo, Norway, from April 20 to 23, 2027, under the theme “WHO CARES?”

This edition explores the concept of care in its many forms, including protection, responsibility, solidarity, and love, as well as neglect, exclusion, and indifference. The festival is seeking artistic works that engage seriously and creatively with the experiences of children and young people and address social, political, and humanitarian issues through theatre and the performing arts.

Participation offers one of the most distinctive international opportunities for artists working in theatre and arts for young audiences. The festival combines artistic performances, training, professional networking, and cultural and artistic exchange between participants from Norway and other countries.

Although this opportunity is not classified as an academic fellowship, it is an international funded arts programme that supports professional development, cross-cultural collaboration, and the exchange of artistic practices.

• The proposed work is suitable for either the festival’s artistic programme or professional programme.
• Clear information is provided about the proposed performance, workshop, or activity.
• The applicant is available to travel to and attend the festival in Oslo during the scheduled dates.
