Citadel has opened applications for its Conference Travel Grant, a program designed to support outstanding students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by funding their participation in leading international academic conferences.
The grant provides full coverage of conference-related expenses, including registration fees, airfare, accommodation, and meal allowances. Recipients may also receive invitations to professional events and networking sessions organized by Citadel. The program gives students the opportunity to present their research, connect with internationally recognized researchers and experts, and expand their academic and professional networks.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program.
- Be studying a quantitative field, such as:
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Physics
- Statistics
- Electrical Engineering
- Or another related quantitative discipline
- Applicants seeking funding to attend research conferences such as ICML or NeurIPS are preferably expected to have submitted a research paper to the conference.
- Selection is also based on academic performance, research experience, publications, and previous awards.

- Grace Hopper Celebration: September 25, 2026.
- NeurIPS 2026: October 5, 2026.
- Citadel will announce deadlines for additional conferences on the official program webpage as they become available.
Conference Location
The location varies depending on the selected conference. Current destinations include Sydney, Australia; Anaheim, United States; and Seoul, South Korea.
Selected applicants must attend the conference in person. Citadel will cover airfare, accommodation, and local transportation in accordance with the grant’s terms and conditions.
