Funded Opportunity to Attend the ICDS 2026 Conference in Australia

The International Celiac Disease Symposium (ICDS) 2026 is offering a number of travel grants to support researchers, students, and healthcare professionals who wish to attend the conference and participate in its scientific program.

The grants are intended for applicants residing in low- and middle-income countries, as well as full-time students and early-career researchers. To be eligible, applicants must first submit a research abstract for presentation at the conference before applying for a travel grant.

The conference will take place from 17–20 November 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Australia. It brings together researchers, physicians, healthcare professionals, patient organizations, and experts working in the fields of celiac disease and gluten-related disorders.

• Waiver of the registration fees for the ICDS 2026 conference.
• A financial contribution toward travel expenses.
• A contribution toward accommodation costs in Melbourne.
• The opportunity to present an accepted research paper through an oral presentation or scientific poster as part of the conference program.
• Access to scientific sessions covering the latest research and developments related to celiac disease.
• Networking opportunities with researchers, physicians, and specialists from around the world.
• A certificate of attendance upon completion of the conference.

Applicants may apply for the travel grant if they meet at least one of the following conditions:

1. Reside in a country classified by the World Bank as a low- or middle-income country.
2. Be currently enrolled as a full-time student.
3. Be an early-career researcher.

All applicants must also:

1. Submit a research abstract to the ICDS 2026 conference before applying for the travel grant.
2. Enter the abstract identification number, or Abstract ID, in the grant application form.
3. Submit an updated CV.
4. Provide a motivation letter of no more than one page.
5. Explain how attending the conference would benefit their research or professional career.
6. Be willing to present the accepted research through an oral presentation or scientific poster.

Required Documents

1. The Abstract ID of the research abstract submitted to the conference.
2. A motivation letter of no more than one page.
3. The motivation letter must be written in Calibri or Times New Roman, using a 12-point font.
4. An updated CV.
5. All information and supporting details requested in the online application form.
