Opportunity description

The University of Lincoln in the UK is offering scholarships to Ph.D. students who hold an offer of study at the university. These scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and study achievements.

Benefits

$28,000 annually for a maximum of three years, paid in fortnightly installments, plus tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, you need to:

  • Have a recognized undergraduate degree.
  • Be new to the Lincoln University Doctoral Programme at the start of the first semester following the award of your scholarship.
  • Have registered for the Lincoln Doctoral Programme no more than six months before the application close date.

Selection Criteria:

The scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:

  • Academic Merit: A minimum grade point average equating to an A- (80%) average is required in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Research or other relevant experience.

Deferral/Temporary Suspension of Study:

  • The scholar may defer commencement of the scholarship for a period of up to six months from the date of the proposed commencement provided he or she notifies the Scholarships Manager in writing of his or her intention to do so at least two weeks before the date of commencement.
  • Once the scholarship has commenced, the Vice-Chancellor, at his or her discretion, may grant a temporary suspension of the scholarship, without emolument, for up to one year having taken into account the scholar’s circumstances and the progress of the study.
