Opportunity description
The Fédération Départementale des Maisons des Jeunes et de la Culture des Côtes d'Armor, in cooperation with OGEC SACRE COEUR, is offering a volunteer opportunity in Saint-Brieuc, France, where the volunteer will take part in a wide range of activities with middle and high school students.
The opportunity focuses on promoting cultural and European openness, intercultural exchange, language learning, youth participation, and the ecological transition, in addition to contributing to European projects such as Erasmus+ and eTwinning.
The volunteer will work directly with students, organize activities and events, support environmental initiatives, and contribute to the creation of educational content such as videos, podcasts, and interactive games.

Duties & responsibilities
Key activities include:
- Raising students’ awareness about Europe and volunteering opportunities.
- Delivering intercultural activities about the volunteer’s home country and personal interests.
- Organizing multicultural activities within the school.
- Supporting and leading the group of students involved in ecological transition initiatives.
- Encouraging students to develop and implement environmental projects within the school.
- Researching ecological transition topics and preparing awareness campaigns for students.
- Contributing to the organization of:
- Exhibitions.
- Meetings with guests and speakers.
- Awareness activities related to the environment and sustainability.
- Supporting language learning by participating in classes and school activities in a foreign language.
- Assisting students with learning and academic support.
- Creating educational content such as:
- Videos.
- Podcasts.
- Simulation and role-playing games.
- Participating in Erasmus+ projects.
- Participating in eTwinning projects.
- Organizing special days, festivals, and school events.
Eligibility criteria
Volunteers are selected based on a range of qualities and motivations, including:
- Demonstrating a genuine motivation to participate in the project.
- Being able to lead groups of students and take initiative in organizing activities.
- Having an interest in:
- Cultural topics.
- International issues.
- Environmental topics.
- Being able to work as part of a team and contribute to a group project.
- Being willing to support students and encourage them to develop their own ideas and projects.
- Being able to provide language and academic support to high school students.
- Demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently.
- An interest in ecological transition is considered an additional advantage.
