Avrupa Gençlik Eğitim ve Spor Derneği – AGESDER in Türkiye has opened applications for a volunteering opportunity under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), one of the international youth volunteering opportunities that allows participants to gain practical experience in a multicultural environment and contribute to a variety of youth and community activities.
The opportunity targets young people residing in Türkiye who are interested in youth work and community volunteering. It aims to strengthen the European dimension of local activities, improve the quality of information and opportunities available to young people, and support equal opportunities and efforts to combat discrimination against women, youth, and persons with disabilities, while promoting their participation in social and economic life.
Volunteers will take part in activities related to languages, content creation, arts and culture, sustainable development, and social responsibility. They will also have the opportunity to propose and implement their own activities and projects based on their interests and skills, helping them develop personally and professionally while gaining experience in an international youth-oriented environment.

Duties & responsibilities
Volunteers will participate in a range of activities, including:
- Organizing an English Speaking Club.
- Having the opportunity to organize clubs or activities in the volunteer’s native language.
- Creating content for social media platforms, including AGESDER’s English-learning account.
- Preparing and implementing activities in areas chosen by the volunteer based on their interests.
- Participating in arts and culture activities.
- Organizing book or movie clubs.
- Contributing to activities related to sustainable development and professional life.
- Participating in social responsibility initiatives.
- Developing and implementing new ideas and activities in cooperation with the organization’s team.
- Taking part in youth and community activities organized by the association.
Eligibility criteria
The organization is looking for motivated volunteers who are ready to participate actively. Key qualities and requirements include:
- The applicant must be residing in Türkiye.
- Be within the eligible age range for participation in the European Solidarity Corps programme.
- Have an interest in volunteering, community work, and youth activities.
- Understand the principles and values of the European Solidarity Corps.
- Be motivated to work with young people and associations.
- Be able to work within international and multicultural groups.
- Demonstrate responsibility and commitment.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
- Be open to different cultures.
- Show initiative, creativity, and the ability to propose new activities.
- Be in suitable physical and mental health for the nature of the activity.
