Opportunity description
The Winter Japan Culture Camp 2027 is one of the international cultural exchange opportunities offered by AYFN Academy for young people interested in experiencing Japanese culture and society firsthand.
The program will take place from January 25 to 30, 2027, primarily in Osaka, with cultural visits and activities in Kyoto and Nara.
The program includes cultural and educational activities, visits to heritage sites, opportunities to learn about everyday life and Japanese traditions, and networking with participants from different backgrounds and nationalities.
Prior knowledge of the Japanese language is not required, as English will be used throughout the program.
Benefits
The program offers two scholarship categories:
Gold Scholarship
Program fee waiver worth up to USD 1,100.
Airfare support of up to USD 750.
Visa-related support of up to USD 50.
Silver Scholarship
Program fee waiver worth up to USD 1,100.
Airfare support of up to USD 250.
Visa-related support of up to USD 50.
The program coverage also includes:
6 days and 5 nights of accommodation in shared rooms.
4 breakfasts and 4 lunches.
Cultural and educational activities included in the program.
Scheduled cultural tours and visits.
Local transportation by metro and bus.
An electronic participation certificate from AYFN.
Guidance and support throughout the program.
Coordination and administrative fees within Japan.
Eligibility criteria
Applications are open to all nationalities.
Applicants must be between 17 and 40 years old.
Applicants should have an interest in travel, culture, and cultural exchange.
Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential or skills.
Applicants must be able to communicate in English.
Applicants must be in suitable health to participate in the program activities.
Applicants should be willing to document the activities and their experience during the program.
